European maple shell offers exceptionally powerful tones

Maple is traditionally used in high-quality drums. It is used for its powerful sound as well as for the pristine and polished look that maple brings. Maple contains slightly boosted lows with high frequencies to make it work in almost any musical genre. Drums made entirely of maple will create a more even sound and a warmer tone.

Wooden hoops for stable tuning

Wooden hoops help the snare drum create a warmer and rounder sound than its metal counterparts. They are very rigid and because of this they allow tuning to be more even and stable. They are also very durable and avoid damages such as dents, cracks and splinters after years of use.

DW-inspired hardware that keeps up

PDP is a sub-brand of world-renowned drum manufacturer Drum Workshop, and as such, the Concept Classic’s hardware components are heavily inspired by DW’s finest features. One such inclusion is DW’s excellent Tru-Pitch tension rods. With the finest of threads, these ensure maximum tuning accuracy. Meanwhile, the die-cast claw hooks impart a timeless, vintage appeal. Dual-Turret drum lugs offer tonal consistency across all three of your shells. DW’s influence on the Concept Classic Shell Pack is unmistakable.

Full, room-filling resonance

And the hardware features don’t stop there. Like only larger drums can, the Concept Classic shells fill the room with their meaty tones and full-bodied response. Of course, it helps to have excellent hardware that brings out the very best of these European maple wood shells. A trio of resonant floor tom legs allows the 16″ floor tom to rumble along, with deep low-end and thunderous punch. As for the 13″ rack tom, DW’s Suspension Tom Mount makes sure it sings with glorious musical zest that cuts right through the mix. Oh, and did we mention the drum heads? A full set of DW-designed Remo heads are included with the Concept Classic. This means awesome drum sounds straight from the box.
