Description
Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, and new for 2020, the Epiphone SG Standard ’61 is a recreation of the first-year-production 1961 SG. Much like the original, the Epiphone SG Standard ’61 features a mahogany body and neck, trapezoid inlays, deluxe vintage machineheads, and nickel hardware. The Epiphone SG Standard ’61 also features some modern updates, such as an Indian Laurel fretboard with medium jumbo frets, on a SlimTaper neck.
For maximum tonal authenticity, the Epiphone SG Standard ’61 also features the Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers with CTS electronics, Epiphone’s most faithful recreation of the classic PAF pickups. The Epiphone ProBuckers feature 18% Nickel Silver bases and covers, providing a crisper, more transparent output, just like the Gibson Kalamazoo originals. The Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers also feature sand-cast Alnico II magnets, 4-conductor leads wire, wax potting for eliminating microphonics, and bobbins which duplicate the size and shape of Gibson humbuckers.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we like the Epiphone SG Standard ’61 for its faithful recreation of one of the rarest Gibson SGs – the tone of the Epiphone ProBuckers is a particular standout.

Responsibility for ownership of the Goods passes to the purchaser once we have delivered them.
Unless otherwise advised, delivery will be made by a fully-insured courier service, within normal business hours. A signature at this address will be required.
The charge for delivery will be shown at the final checkout stage before final submission. Unfortunately X MUSIC IRELAND LIMITED cannot guarantee delivery times or dates. The delivery charge shown is a standard charge and does not constitute a guarantee of delivery date from the time you have placed an order.
All delivery times and dates are subject to stock availability in Head Office, the backlog of orders, and Weekend or Bank Holiday exceptions. Unfortunately X Music Ireland Limited can in no circumstances, therefore, compensate for delayed orders.
Damages/shortages must be notified within 3 working days of delivery.
