Description
The Helix products from Line 6 represent the absolute quality top of the range of guitar/bass multieffects. The Helix HX Stomp offers more than 300 instrument/cabinet simulations and effects in a pedal that is only slightly larger than a standard compact guitar box (Helix, Legacy Line-6). This makes it an extremely practical and versatile choice for live playing and studio work (whether you’re using a standard stage set-up with amp and box or playing directly into the mix).
Its dual DSP engine (similar to the company’s existing flagship Helix Floor, Helix Rack and Helix LT) offers the sound and feel of classic and modern effects across the full dynamic range (up to 123dB). From the sound database you can choose from two hundred original Helix effects and effects from the Legacy series, divided into the subcategories Distortion, Dynamics, EQ, Modulation, Delay, Reverb, Pitch/Synth, Filter, Wah and Volume/Pan, plus more than seventy simulations of well-known brands of instruments (Fender, Vox, Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Soldano, Ampeg, Pearce, Gallien-Krueger) and dozens of cabinet and microphone simulations.
Thanks to the intelligent interface and design, you can easily and quickly control individual effects/presets using a few function buttons and three footswitches (HX Stomp offers a total of 126 presets in 42 banks).
Two effect outputs (L/Mono, Stereo) and an effect loop allow you to adjust the signal routing of individual presets to your exact needs (for studio and live applications). MIDI compatibility allows you to control MIDI parameters and control any rigs via multieffects, or switches and expression pedal. Via the USB interface, load one of 128 IRs (Impulse Response) from the HX Edit app (freely downloadable on the Line6 website) to each preset. The multi-effect also offers a tap tempo function, built-in tuner, parallel/serial effects settings, looper (Mono 60 seconds/ Stereo 30 seconds), Aux In input for connecting audio/MP3 devices and headphone output.
The included 9V adapter is used to power the multieffect.
